What’s going on you guys!. I wanted to jump on really quickly and share something. I just had an encounter with my middle child as I was putting them in the bed. WE go through the endless goodnights, they’re finally in the bed and here I am… on the couch reading. Not so long after… literally about 3 minutes later, I find her tip toeing over with a request. She had found herself with her robe on (that she didn’t go to bed in to begin with) however, it wasn’t on the correct way. She wore it as a robe cape, with the belt holding on to her waist. She comes over to me and ask if I can help her get the knot out of the belt of the robe. In no way, shape, or form was this preventing her from doing anything. The thing wasn’t even tightly wrapped around her to where it was unmovable. I politely obliged and asked her to take it off so I an untie it. My child then proceeds to easily push it down, stops and then lifts this rope above her to get it off. That moment there is the exact reason why I’m writing you this evening. In my mind, the easiest and most efficient thing to do was what her first mind went to. But somewhere along this brief moment, she re routed and went the hardest way!!!!!!! I mean you guys, it was a quick pull down , step out and done but she chose to lift, do the one arm thing, elbow stuck for a second then pull over the head in the most odd way.
At this point, I’m snickering to myself quietly. WHY!!????? OH WHY!!!?? Why do we do that to ourselves. We have a great idea, we get direction from the Lord or in this case our brains naturally solve it and then WE CHOOSE to take the most difficult route. Sometimes we make the simple so hard. You guys… for the life of me… DON’T MAKE THIS HARD!!!
There are things you are SUPPOSE to be DOING IN THIS EARTH and it’s not that you can’t do it, it’s just that you’ve turned a SIMPLE thing into a hard thing! Maybe you’ve been like I was …. a procrastinator… (horrible by the way, I don’t recommend it). Or maybe other forms of pride (yes procrastination is form of pride, thats another thing for another time) have stifled you. Being in school, I tell you has not been hard at all… You know what’s been hard though? Getting behind on work, life lifes, and I’m over here trying to catch up while doing everything else. I’m so guilty of it… Maybe you are too..
Good thing is that it can all change. And we can start now!
I’m going to say this again, for the people in the back.. DON’T MAKE THIS HARD!!
Do the thing …
WRITE THE BOOKS
STUDY YOUR WORD
PRAY
START THE BUSINESS
POST ON SOCIALS
GO APOLOGIZE
MAKE THE APPOINTMENTS
MAKE THE MUSIC
LEARN THAT SKILL
GO WORKOUT
CHARGE THAT PRICE
Whatever your “thing” is … Keep it simple and just …. DO IT!
I was trying to keep this short but I do want to help you release anything that may be a hindrance to you concerning this.
Let’s say a little prayer together. Say this with me:
“Lord, I ask for forgiveness for making the simple things hard. I ask for forgiveness for acting in disobedience unto you and for operating in anxiety and fear. I repent for not trusting you for the things that you’ve given me to do. I forbid any contract that I’ve come into agreement with that stands against your will for my life and I ask for mercy for the consequences of my distrust. Lord I now, by faith, get back on track, in alignment with the blueprint of Heaven concerning me and my family. I ask you to give me a zeal , a Holy fire to dwell in me to do your work, hand in hand with you and in ease. I thank you for all that you’ve given me through your precious blood and body, let me never forget. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Now release it and GO!
Sleep well!
or
Have a great day in purpose! (Wherever you are!)
